So here's what I've come to learn so far:
I have to track. Another member at my meeting said recently, "If I bite it, I write it." For several weeks, I've noticed that I tend not to track on Fridays and sometimes even Thursdays. While a loss has shown up on the scale, I know my time is running short on using this particular
Just because I can have it, that doesn't mean I should, even if I have the PointsPlus values available to spend. Example - we go to Culver's for frozen custard. My daughter asks for 2 scoops with hot caramel. I tell her 1 scoop is enough. She doesn't think so. After a little bantering back and forth, I cave. I take a few bites and it is enough. That night I get home, check the PointsPlus values for the 2 scoops, its 21. REALLY? So thankful I only took a few bites, but it got me thinking...it's. just. not. necessary.
Planning is half the battle. Planning meals, snacks, and how I will handle my consumption at picnics, parties, or pot-lucks keeps me on the path to success.
Fresh is better. Since the death of a close family friend, I made the decision, that when possible, I would prepare homemade meals and eat mostly fresh fruits and vegetables. Since then, I haven't eaten frozen meals and try to stay away from processed foods as much as possible.
My goal for this week is to get back to tracking everything, even the night before weigh-in! Until next time my friends....
